Paradigma Technologies Smallsats - Engmotion CNC

From smallsats to Advanced Engineering: Engmotion's Journey
In 2004, when Engmotion d.o.o. was just beginning its journey as a technology company, our team found itself at the crossroads of a fascinating and emerging industry: smallsats. At that time, the concept of miniaturized satellites was nascent, yet our technical expertise and pioneering spirit aligned perfectly with the bold ambitions of early space innovators. Collaborating with companies that were taking their first steps into the smallsats market, we contributed to the development of critical mechanical components. This included designing and producing structural frames, support systems, antenna mounts, and even tanks for these small but mighty spacecraft.

Our involvement in those early projects allowed us to sharpen our engineering and manufacturing skills, laying a strong foundation for what Engmotion would become. Each smallsat component we delivered represented not only a technical achievement but also a testament to our ability to solve complex problems and meet the exacting demands of space applications. Over time, we carried these lessons into other sectors, transforming Engmotion into a versatile powerhouse capable of delivering precision-engineered solutions for diverse industries.
After several years working in strategic sectors such as medical devices and specialized CNC manufacturing, we found our path intersecting with space technology once again. This time, it was through a collaboration with Paradigma d.o.o., a New Space company based in Sežana, Slovenia. Paradigma Technologies is at the forefront of satellite communications, specializing in telecommunication systems for small satellites, CubeSats, and Satellite On The Move (SOTM) applications in Ka-band and beyond.
Engmotion partnered with Paradigma to produce special housings for their smallsats —a task that demanded unparalleled precision and attention to detail. The project involved fabricating a small number of highly specialized components, each meeting stringent quality and performance requirements. Leveraging our decades of expertise in mechanical design, CNC machining, and assembly, we were able to deliver products that exemplified the very best of our capabilities.
This collaboration not only reaffirmed our ability to serve the space industry but also marked a full-circle moment for our company. Returning to the world smallsats after so many years felt like a rediscovery of our roots. Today, Engmotion continues to push the boundaries of engineering, providing cutting-edge solutions for industries that demand nothing less than excellence. Whether it’s crafting precision components for medical devices or partnering with visionary companies like Paradigma, our mission remains the same: to transform complexity into precision and innovation.
We are proud to have contributed to the advancement of smallsat technology once again, offering a small but meaningful piece of our know-how to the exploration of space. The journey of Engmotion d.o.o. from 2004 to today is one of growth, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to excellence—a journey we are excited to continue as we support our partners in reaching new frontiers.
