  • CHEMOMAKER is an innovative system for the automated preparation of
    antiblastic drugs, able to overcome most of the critical elements connected to
    manual preparation.
ChemoMaker is a compact system, that can be easily placed in an existing Class II laminar flow hood. It does not require dedicated spaces or installation works.

Chemomaker's main features:

  • SAFETY
    The drug is dosed directly into the final containers intended for administration (bags, syringes, elastomeric pumps) in order to avoid any subsequent manipulation, preventing contamination for healthcare professionals
    and patients.
  • TRACEABILITY
    ChemoMaker is wireless connected to a computer, which allows the operators of the hospital pharmacy to organize the preparation activity according to the prescriptions received from the oncology departments. All materials are identified by barcodes and RFID tags for maximum safety. Multiple automatic checks assure high accuracy and safety of the final product.
  • STERILITY
    The system is based on a robotic unit, able to fully automatize the dosing process (i.e.: the transfer of drugs from vials to yo infusion bags). Patient doses, ready to be
    administered, are prepared in a sterile enviroment, and the compounding robot, is placed under a sterile laminar flow hood. A closed system based on disposable sterile cartridges (patent pending) prevents the contamination of the enviroment
    by toxic drugs
  • ACCURACY
    The proper formulation is guaranteed by a realtime gravimetric control system able to ensure dosage accuracies up to 0,1%, more than one order of magnitude higher than the precision allowed by the European Pharmacopoeia in manual preparations

The control Software side of Chemomaker is: CHEMOPLAN
It is a very intuitive and user friendly interface. It can be customized on the demand to be connected to the hospital data management system.

The software manages the prescriptions and the work cycle of the machine..

  • It can be interfaced with the main prescriptions software (HL7 Protocol)
  • The system generates a preparation label
  • The drugs database is customizable
  • The A.I. of the software allows the optimization of the use of drugsFlexible batch production
Thanks to its extremely compacted dimensions, Chemomaker can be easily placed in an existing Class II laminar flow hood (Minimum internal dimensions required L x D x H (mm): 900 x 500 x 700)
It does not require dedicated spaces or installation works.

1. The drugs and the final containers are
selected according to the prescriptions
2. Medicines are identified with a system
double control: Barcode and RFID
3. The final containers are associated with the specific therapy for each patient
4. The medication vials and final containers are loaded on the automated system
5. ChemoMaker sets up automatically
the preparations
6. The system generates automatically the labels containing all the data identification of each patient

CHEMOMAKER
Chemomaker is a completely new automatic, 3rd generation device dedicated to antiblastic drugs preparation. It has been developed by Biovalley Investments Spa in partnership with Paolo Giribona and Engmotion d.o.o. thanks to their extensive experience in design and manufacturing of 1st and 2nd generation automatic devices for antiblastic drugs preparation.
